Formerly George’s Log Cabin, Graziani Family Bar & Restaurant, Frank McCrary, Builder, 1936. The log cabin is a utilitarian commercial building with a rustic style that reflects its post-Depression origin and working-class customers. The main bar room, with its half-log redwood exterior, faces Highway 9. The original owner, George Graziani, was born in 1893 in Venice, Italy, and immigrated to the United States in 1910. Graziani, wife Stefaneta, and their three children moved to Felton in 1932. Capitalizing on its prime location adjacent to Big Trees Park, now Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, George's log cabin opened for business on June 28, 1936, offering groceries and supplies for campers and tourists. Later an Italian restaurant was added. The Graziani family managed the business as well as the bar and restaurant until 2000. Third and fourth generations of the family still live nearby.
